Coversations You Don't Want to Have with Yourself.

Every internal pain and disturbance comes from a conversation we aren't willing to have with ourselves.

When you take the time to listen to your jostling, contradictory, feisty, and competing selves,

When you realise that each one of you is part of your whole,
Your pains release, your behavior aligns, your love and tolerance of others get's unleashed,

You start to Be | Do | Have what you have come here for.

What does the beginning of Spring and the Second Business Quarter have in common?

Well, it's a good time to celebrate your achievements as well as the blossoms and the warmer weather, it's also good to clean up after your first quarter sprint as well as your spring clean after a long winter.

Not only that, it's a good time to review your work flow and processes, as well as a good time to start building your physical and mental health with a seasonal cleanse.

You might even want to set some new fresh goals as well as sprucing up your living environment and wardrobe.

It's a time of new beginnings, and also a good time for a short holiday to recharge your batteries and your thinking before your sprint through to Christmas and the holiday season.

This is what Spring is about for business.

Noticing your Obstacles is better than fighting them.

It's the nature of obstacles.

They want your attention, they maneuver you see them as "The Problem" and beguile you to throw your full attention and resources at them.

However, I learnt from mountain biking and kyacking that if you want to get past obstacles, you don't put your focus upon the obstacle, because that is exactly where you will go if you do that.

Cyclists and kyakers  focus on the gap or the pathway that gets you past the obstacle.

A kyaker once told me: "The water doesn't crash into the rock, it flows around it."

It's the same old coaching story - "Focus on your pleasurable end result" not the obstacles standing in your way!

Mike Ichn' Rules #2

If you have an idea, especially an idea you are itchn' to put into action.....

There's some people you just don't tell it to.

Be careful not to tell the knockers, the well meaning constructive criticism givers and family members who don't understand the industry or the market.

Talk to people in the know, interview potential customers, keep your cards close to your chest until you have put some flesh on the bones.

Give your idea some structure - it might even stand up if you are lucky!

Mike Itchn' Rules

Clearly,a business life is altogether too complex.

There's too much input, too much output - the whole thing gets right out of control.

And then there are the important things - you know, the things that are important to you that you are too busy to even think about.

I like to think of those important things as being like an itch - something that lets you know it's there and wants you to do something about it.

So from today, I'm going to talk about those itches and what you can do to make them more than an irritating distraction that never gets anything done about it.

And I'd like to hear from you, about what is itchen' you - what is important to you that you don't have the time or resources yet to do anything about.

So what's itchn' you?
