What's your Excuse?

It’s easy to make excuses for not chasing what’s important to you.

“I’m too fat, too thin, too poor, too rich, not qualified enough, too qualified…” – what ever!

You can make anything into an excuse.

Too Jewish, not Jewish enough, special needs, not special needs enough...

The best speaker I ever met in New Zealand, Peter Christiansen has no legs…and no excuses.

So many people hide behind political correctness – you can’t even talk to them about it.

You can blame your parents, your education, your mental health or your medical diagnosis…

The amazing Stephen Fry has full blown depression…and don’t even ask about the challenges Stephen Hawking has to face every day.

Too young?  Think Lorde, Nick D’Aloisio, Malala Yousafzai, Ionut Budisteanu, Malia Obama, Justin Bieber – these guys don’t try and get you to buy that excuse.

Too old?  Think Mick Jagger, Sir David Attenbourough, Leonard Cohen (and add depression for him here too!)

Attention Deficit Disorder? No excuse!  Sir Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Will Smith, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Stephen Spielberg, John Lennon, Beethoven, Mozart, President John F Kennedy, Winston Churchill, Joan Rivers, Socrates – they all had it -  boy there’s a bunch of my heroes in there!  …but wait, Stephen Hawking also has ADD.

Truth is, the sky’s the limit.

What’s mainly limiting you is your excuses.

What’s your excuse now for not chasing what’s important to you?
