Poppy Prison

is where they take you

when you stand taller than the rest.

Of course you are reported

by one of those who hunches down with the crowd,

resentful that you have the gall

to even try to live up to your best,

or to even entertain a vision,

or even to have passion about that vision....

so they come and cut you off at the knees,

and spread rumors of wrong doings and shady associations,

mucky, dirty things get said as they take you to poppy prison.
