As anyone who has tried to comment on religion has discovered, there is no such thing as criticism. There is only blasphemy.

And the same goes for giving and recieving feedback for improvement.

If you can't be open enough to hear feedback from trusted advisers, then you are opening yourself up to some possibly dangerous blind spots.

If you are smart, you are asking for feedback and somehow rewarding the people who give it to you, encouraging them to warn you of vulnerabilities you don't even know about.

You can't really ask people clearly and directly to give you feedback about things you can't even see.

It takes time building trust with your advisors so they feel confident of warning you of what they can clearly see.

Keep rewarding the people who help you be strong.
