An Australian living in New Zealand.

The New Zealand Elections have come and gone and the change we have gotten is about as significant as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

We know there's an iceberg coming, and our government and opposition just haven't told us how they are going to handle it.....and the band plays on.

On election review night, a blogger was quoted as saying that New Zealand has voted for change, but had chosen a change that was completely the opposite of progressive governments worldwide - including the US. The blogger was lamenting that in the face of changes made available by the internet of personal empowerment and new options for business and individuals, that the only change that New Zealanders could come up with was a centre right government.

Jill Singer from the Melbourne Herald coined it with this article.
