A different way for Comfortable Complacent Westerners to View Change

- The power that words have to create your experience of reality!

In Western culture, change is often viewed only as a crisis - unwanted, uncomfortable and something to avoid.

And this shapes our experience of change as well as locks us into reactive attitudes to change.

However, the Chinese have a different way of interpreting change.

They have two pictorographs to describe the word change:

which means: CRISIS

which means: OPPORTUNITY

For them change is two things – Crisis and Opportunity. This makes their relationship to change totally different to our culture.

When change happens, watch the Chinese person looking for the opportunity!

How can you use this to create opportunities for you in your current change?
