Old American Native Story

In the begining, God was making Man.

He fashioned man out of the clay of the earth and he put Man in the oven.

The first man was cooked too long in the oven and he came out black.

The second man was cooked too little in the oven and he came out white.

The third man was cooked out of a different clay for just the right time and he came out yellow.

And God finally got it right when he cooked the last man,

in the oven for the right amount of time,

Out of the oven came the red man.

.....and God was pleased!
