You can reassure it, you can share your own strategies for protecting yourself, you can persuade it that you are successfully taking care of yourself.

Don't make the mistake of trying to fight it.  It will retreat to the shadows and push your buttons and pull your strings from there.  '

You can never win.  It knows you better than you do.

Bring it out into the light and into the open.

Make it your friend.

Show it you can take care of yourself.
