The magical "god from the machine" is the client looking at their situation, separate from being in the situation.
Most of the time, when you are busy caught up in the day to day, you are operating on a high level of sleepwalking when it comes to thinking about your bigger picture. You don't get the deus ex machina effect thinking like that. There literally is no room for brilliant flashes of insight, genius solutions and grasping the obvious opportunities right in front of you.
Just like God lives in Heaven, not on earth, so you too need to jump into your helicopter and look down on your creation to find this state of mind.
Learn from God. Find your own deus ex machina solutions and strategies. Learn to trust yourself.
