One of the great learnings for modern women is how to integrate the Goddess with the Feminist.
The Goddess is all powerful, alluring, irresistibly attractive,
vibrant. she allows us into her temple to worship her. We place our offerings of love and devotion and she accepts our gifts gracefully and effortlessly.
All women express the Goddess archetype. It's the path of the reclining, effortless manifestation of results. Goddesses do their best work reclining on the lounge, eating grapes, dutifully peeled by their devotees having the results delivered to her door magically.The Feminist is different. Fiercely independent, out to prove that she can 
do anything without help from anyone. She sees herself as being powerful and can create results through her pure determination and hard work.

If I get any hate mail for falsely assuming I have the right to write this post, it will be from those who are firmly entrenched in the Feminist expression of their identity. It's just what they do. (Get ready for confrontation!)
The Goddesses just flash a knowing glance and say "thank you!" for the attention and acknowledgment. (Swoon!)
There is a balance to be struck between the two.
Archetypes exist so you can have a language to express these two energies in your life.
I asked a woman today who epitomised the living role model of a Goddess who had integrated her feminist.
Her reply was clear and definite.

Smoulderingly attractive and aware of her powers, she allows the world to offer itself on a plate. Passionate about inequality, poverty and world issues most mainstream westerners don't even want to think about, she is a proactive activist and advocate for these issues.
- There's the balance!
